Our Mission

The Artists Fund at the Festival of Arts is a non-profit organization which assists Festival artists who have suffered unforeseen hardship, and also encourages artistic growth through scholarship. Created by artists to help artists, our Mission is to support artists when tough financial obstacles threaten their careers, and to encourage expansion of their career skills. For more than twenty years, our non-profit has been the safety net for many artists that have found themselves in difficult life situations. Any FOA exhibitor, past or present, is qualified to receive monetary grants from our organization.

We provide two grant programs: our Hardship Grants that include funds for major disasters like flood, fire, and mudslide, or assistance for medical treatments, relief for housing, or other unexpected life emergencies; and Enrichment Grants that provide merit-based help for conferences, classes, workshops, supplies, equipment and mentorship with professionals. We help expand an artist’s expertise and further their careers, so that future assistance is less likely.

The Artists Fund also offers additional support programs for our exhibitors, including professional development seminars, art shows, demonstrations, and special events for the public.

Without artists, there can be no art!
